Zenless Zone Zero shows off new content ahead of launch

Zenless Zone Zero will be launching on July 4, but before we dive into the fantastic world of the game, developer HoYoverse has unveiled all manner of new content that we’ll get to enjoy soon.

This new content looks to expand what players will be getting up to in New Eridu, the last remaining city after disasters called The Hollows, which have nearly destroyed everything. Players will be able to explore Sixth Street and Lumina Square. There will be cute little creatures called Bangboo that need help, hidden Cargo Trucks that contain rewards, and lots more surprises. We will also have access to Scott Outpost, overlooking Hollow Zero, where we can challenge ourselves to defeat powerful enemies in new modes.

The game will launch with three full Chapters ready to go, including Chapter 2-Interlude, in which Officer Zhu Yuan makes her official debut, and Chapter 3, where the members of Victoria Housekeeping will show us what they are really made of. There will also be two new characters, Lucy and Piper, members of the Sons of Calydon, who will be able to join our squads. This is all added to the already awesome cast of characters and incredibly fun and smooth combat, so it looks like HoYoverse will be on to another winner.

I had a huge amount of fun with Zenless Zone Zero during the pre-launch technical tests, and I am seeing reports that tweaks to the game structure have made it even more fun, so I cannot wait to dive into it next week. For full details, be sure to check out the Pre-Release Special Program above.
