Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list

Small but mighty.

The lovable Bangboos are the best allies in Zenless Zone Zero, earning you buffs and assisting you with enemy takedowns. Seeing an adorable, tiny creature take on the game’s fearsome creatures is certainly a sight to behold. However, a few stand out amongst the rest with their overpowered abilities. We’re here to rank them by showing you a ZZZ Bangboo tier list.

Best Bangboo tier list for ZZZ

You’ll encounter a variety of Bangboo during your interdimensional adventures, including the owners of the 141 Convenience Store. If you want a creature on your team, test your luck by pulling for them in the Signal Search. We’ll break down each one, starting with the best-of-the-best in the S rank and ending with the lower performance of the C ranks:

S Tier

  • Butler
  • Sharkboo
  • Safety
  • Amillion

A Tier

  • Rocketboo
  • Plugboo
  • Devilboo
  • Resonaboo
  • Bangvolver
  • Exploreboo

B Tier

  • Paperboo
  • Penguinboo
  • Avocaboo
  • Electroboo
  • Cryboo
  • Magnetiboo

C Tier

  • Bagboo
  • Sumoboo
  • Boolseye
  • Booressure

Thanks to its energy-regenerative abilities, Butler is one of the best Bangboos to use in Zenless Zone Zero. The creature also provides even more energy if two or more Victoria Housekeeping Co. Faction members are on the field. But if that wasn’t enough, Butler will help you out during Chain Attacks using its deadly frying pan.

Amillion is another character who can increase DMG for Bangboo Chain Attacks, just as long as two Cunning Hares are within your party. The same goes for Safety, but it utilizes the Belobog Heavy Industries characters instead. Sharkboo is the only one that differs from the rest, as it only works with two Ice wielders. Not only does it offer a ton of damage rates, but it’s also helpful for many icy-based missions.

In the A tier, we have Bangboos that boost the Bangboo Chain Attacks with specific Attributes, similar to Sharkboo. However, Exploreboo caters more to players who favor support roles. This character is a valuable addition to your team, offering various buffs for HP, shields, and Energy Regen.

Moving onto the B tier, we have Bangboos who share the same Chain Attack enhancements as the A tier. Although they have a similar effect, creatures like Cryboo and Electroboo have a lower Anomaly Buildup. For instance, Plugboo comes with 100 percent AB, while Electroboo only harnesses 60 percent.

If you’re just starting out in Zenless Zone Zero, the C tier Bangboos are your go-to allies. While they may not be as powerful as the higher tiers, they are still viable choices. In particular, Bagboo, a creature I’ve used extensively during the early stages, is a great help with Chain Attack DMG. The remaining Bangboos in this tier also have their unique strengths, making them good beginner allies.
