X Rebirth will be arriving on Steam tomorrow, so here’s a little audiovisual taste of what you can look forward to if you decide to get involved in some interstellar trade and conflict. There’s a lot of great color and visual design at work here, and the video is comprised entirely of gameplay footage, which makes me happy.
I think the last space simulator game I spent any real time with was probably Masters of Orion 2, so it’s been a while. Not having any experience with the X series, I’m thinking that maybe this reboot would be a good way to get in there without a lot of baggage. Maybe it would re-ignite my passion for galactic conquest. Or I could just go play a solo round of Tradewars 2002 again. Jury’s out.
