THQ has announced WWE ’13, and with that came some backstory about how CM Punk has changed wrestling like how Stone Cold Steve Austin changed things 15 years ago. There’s more to it then that, but, yeah. Wrestling!

So what’s new? Developer Yuke’s Yokohama has overhauled the audio and presentation system in order to present the most “authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects, and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE videogame.” Predator Technology 2.0 has also overhauled the animations, and controls to offer a smoother gameplay experience.

You’ll be able to create wrestlers still, as well as share your creations or download player created characters for yourself. Lastly, there’s going to be planed downloadable content. Weird to reveal that right when you announce the game, but you knew it was a given.

WWE ’13 will be out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on October 30, 2012 in North America and November 2, 2012 in Europe.
