Blizzard and Microsoft announced the release date for the upcoming World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion as August 26, 2024. The expansion marks the first chapter in the new Worldsoul Saga trilogy for the popular MMORPG.
World of Warcraft: The War Within recently moved from the Alpha phase to the Beta phase, which historically has indicated an imminent expansion release. However, August 26 puts the expansion just over two months away, which is a bit sooner than I expected.
Players who pre-order the Epic Edition for $89.99 will get access to the MMORPG four days earlier on August 22.
From what I’ve played in the beta, though, it feels quite polished, so I’m not surprised that the upcoming release is so close.
World of Warcraft: The War Within will launch on PC on August 26, 2024.
