Get that Techno Syndrome going because Mortal Kombat 1 is nearing its release on Xbox platforms. A question that’s looming though is if Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass will be a reality or not. WB Games has not yet supported a day one release on the subscription service. Here’s everything we know about Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass.
Can you check out Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass?
A day one release of Mortal Kombat 1 on Xbox’s service would be a huge win for Microsoft. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case.
There are currently no plans for this sure-to-be landmark fighting game to be released on Microsoft’s subscription service.
Currently, you can play Mortal Kombat 11 on Xbox Game Pass, however. This came late in its life cycle, however, as it launched on Game Pass on December 16, 2021. This took two and a half years. Perhaps, we’ll see Mortal Kombat 1 head to the service sometime in 2026 with that logic in mind. Our preview gave a neutral reception to the beta earlier this year, but hopefully, the game will impress when it releases this September.
Other games like MK1 are on Game Pass
Other than Mortal Kombat 11, your next best choice for an alternate is Killer Instinct. It’s packed with content with dozens of characters to choose from, a story mode, and more.
It also has an active community, despite being close to a decade old. You’ll appreciate the badass music. Oh, and the action-packed merciless gameplay is fantastic too, of course.
WB Games has Injustice 2 up on Xbox Game Pass too. You can play as the likes of Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, and more in this flashy DC battler. Just like the Mortal Kombat games, it also has an impressive story mode with Superman as the antagonist.
