What’s this? Only two Wii Shop releases today? But they’re really good ones, right? Well, I’m not going to make that call.

Bplus’ “jump and roll” title, Niki – Rock ‘n’ Ball (1-2 players, 500 Wii Points) is today’s lone WiiWare title. The game has you waving the Wii Remote around to control Niki — in ball or rock form — as you collect something call ZeLeLi pearls. It looks to essentially be a platformer, and you’ll be hopping around environments using “the physics” to your advantage.

Then there’s today’s Virtual Console title, Wonder Boy in Monster Land (1 player, 500 Wii Points), which originally appeared on the Sega Master System in 1987. This game has you starting off as a near-naked boy, swatting at snakes and monsters with a stick. If you’re good enough, you’ll get a sword and some clothes, and then … it’s on.

So for $10, you can pick up this week’s hot new Wii downloads. That’s less than the price of two Taco Bell value meals, which is something I’m not willing to give up, unfortunately.
