Call of Duty Warzone sniper builds

Which snipers can one-shot kill in Call of Duty Warzone Season 2?

Sniping is easy if you have good aim.

The latest season of Call of Duty: Warzone is upon us, and with it comes new weapon tunings. Among them are changes to sniper rifles, an ultra-popular weapon class. In Warzone, especially standard Battle Royale modes, snipers are supremely effective at taking out enemies from a long distance.

However, the build becomes all the more worth it if one shot can take out the enemy. Here are the best sniper builds for getting those one-shot headshot kills in Warzone season two.

XRK Stalker one-shot kill Warzone build

The XRK Stalker is one of the newest snipers available in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. It joined the lineup during season one, and instantly became a fan favorite. Moreover, it’s still a viable option for one-shotting enemies in Warzone in season two. Here’s how to build out the bolt-action .50 cal to get those one-shot headshot downs.

  • Fission 60 Barrel
  • SL Razorhawk Laser
  • No Stock
  • XRK Stalker Factory Grip
  • XRK Stalker Light Bolt

This build should offer one-shot headshot kills up to about 90 meters away in Warzone. For the most part, your engagements with enemy teams will be this distance or closer. You won’t be able to get wildly long-range one-shot kills on unsuspecting enemies in the distance, though it will only take a quick second shot to down them.

FJX Imperium one-shot kill Warzone build

Next, the FJX Imperium quickly became a fan favorite in Modern Warfare 3 because of its close resemblance to the Intervention of old. Classic Modern Warfare 2 players remember quick-scoping with that beautiful thing. Luckily, it’s a viable option in Warzone‘s battle royale mode, thanks to its one-shot headshot killing capability.

  • Sonic Suppressor L Muzzle
  • Fahrenheit 29″ Barrel
  • VLK LZR 7MW Laser
  • .408 Explosive Ammunition
  • FJX Blast Bolt

However, there is another option without a suppressor if you’re feeling gutsy.

  • Field-Wrapped Handle Underbarrel
  • .408 Explosive Ammunition
  • Kimura RYL33 Laser
  • FJX Kilo-Tac Stock
  • Optic of your choice: many prefer the Forge Tac Delta 4

The second build has great mobility if you like moving fast around the map or sniping in close engagements.

Victus XMR one-shot kill Warzone build

Call of Duty Warzone one-shot Victus build

This sniper rifle isn’t too mobile, but for players who like to stand still and hit their shots, it’s effective. One-shot headshots are possible from a good distance thanks to the explosive rounds of ammo.

  • Sonic Suppressor XL Muzzle
  • .50 Cal Explosive Ammunition
  • Kimura RYL33 Laser
  • XRK Rise 50 Stock
  • Optic of your choice, many prefer the SP-X 80 6.6X

The laser and stock help with handling, adding sprint-to-fire speed and aim-down-sights speed. These are essential if you’re using the Victus XMR in close engagements. For taking shots at a distance, you’ll probably be fine without the fast zoom if you need to use more stabilization attachments instead.

MCPR-3000 one-shot kill Warzone build

Warzone one-shot MCPR build

Finally, another of the old reliable sniper rifles in Warzone is the MCPR-3000. Even following the changes to the weapon class for season two, it’s an excellent option. Again, utilizing explosive ammo makes the MCPR a one-shot headshot kill in Warzone, even to enemies with three armor plates.

  • SL Razorhawk Laser Light
  • .300 Mag Explosive Ammunition
  • 5 Round Magazine
  • FSS Merc Stock
  • Cronen Cheetah Grip (Rear)

Many of the attachments are good for increasing sprint-to-fire and aim-down-sights time. Speed is essential for getting shots off in time in close to mid-range combat. Using the explosive mag will guarantee your one-shot headshot downs if your aim is up to the task.

Season two sniper changes didn’t ruin Warzone sniping

First and foremost, snipers received a buff to movement speed while aiming, crouched, and strafing. As a result, big, heavy sniper rifles are much more viable. However, some specific gun changes made snipers a little different than last season. The patch notes list four sniper changes with the February 7 update.

  • XRK Stalker – Max damage range increased to 50.8 meters, one-shot downs to the head within that range.
  • Longbow – Minimum damage reduced to 73 from 75, decreased ADS time to 520ms from 550ms.
  • Signal 50 – Near and mid damage ranges reduced to 62.3m from 67.4m.
  • SP-X 80 – Increased ADS time to 545ms from 521ms.

Thanks to these updates, a few different snipers are more useful than ever before. Thankfully, overpowered options like the Longbow are a little less so. Regardless, these builds are your best bet if you want to one-shot headshot down the enemy in Call of Duty: Warzone season two.
