When will LEGO Fortnite be released?

LEGO Fortnite will be released as a free update to Fortnite on December 7, 2023. The new game actually works like a game within a game. The LEGO Fortnite update is a full game that anyone can play from within Fortnite itself. Similar to how different games are played within Roblox.

When Lego Fortnite is released, over 1,200 current Fortnite character skins will be available in the game in LEGO form. That means the skins you’ve acquired while playing Fortnite will be available to use in the new game right away.

That wasn’t the only game within a game announcement, either. There’s also Rocket Racing, a racing game based on Rocket League from developer Psyonix, and Fortnite Festival, a music game from Rock Band developer Harmonix. Both Harmonix and Psyonix were acquired by Epic over the past few years.

The new games are part of Epic Games’s attempt to turn Fortnite into a gaming platform filled with a variety of gaming experiences. The LEGO Fortnite announcement is part of a multi-year partnership between Epic Games and LEGO that was announced in 2022. Both companies want to “shape the future of the metaverse and make it fun and safe for all”.
