When does World of Warcraft: The War Within Early Access begin?

Less than two years after the release of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion is right around the corner. For the first time ever, Blizzard has opted to do somewhat of a staggered release, with Early Access being granted four days early entry into the expansion for players who get the Epic Edition. Here is when the World of Warcraft: The War Within Early Access officially begins and what you can expect from the early release.

When does The War Within Early Access start?

Players can play the Early Access of WoW: The War Within starting at 3pm PDT on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Only players who have purchased the Epic Edition will be able to acess the expansion early, while those who purchase any other version of The War WIthin will have to wait untilthe global launch on August 26, 2024. Here are the release and Early Access start times for other time zones:

• Los Angeles, USA: 3pm PDT on August 22
• New York, USA: 6pm EDT on August 22
• Sao Paulo: 19:00 Brasilia on August 22
• London: 23:00 BST on August 22
• Paris: 00:00 CEST on August 23
• Taipei: 06:00 CST on August 23
• Seoul: 07:00 KST on August 23
• Sydney: 08:00 AEST on August 23

What is available during The War Within Early Access?

Not all of The War Within expansion content will be available at Early Access. While you’ll be able to level all of your characters up to the new maximum level of 80, there wil lbe some restrictions once you reach the end-game. For example, only Normal Difficulty dungeons are unlocked until the global launch release on August 26. Also, daily quests and specializations for professions will not be active until global launch either. Finally, only Delves up to Tier 3 are doable during the Early Access launch.

Once global launch occurs, you will then be able to do Heroic difficulty dungeons, and fully utilize your professions and level them. However, Delves will still only go up to Tier 3 until two weeks after launch with Mythic 0 dungeons unlock as well as the PvP season.
