Get ready to “embrace the madness” in the newest Call of Duty. Black Ops 7 is just a few months away from release, so get ready to jump in.

BO7 is looking pretty trippy judging by its trailers, teasing a campaign full of mind tricks and manipulation as Black Ops hero David Mason takes on a new, highly advanced enemy in this Black Ops 2 sequel, taking place in the year 2035. This means semi-futuristic tech and weaponry will be at the forefront of the new game, a big departure from the early 1990s setting of Black Ops 6.

Talking about and hyping up the new CoD is always fun, but after that it always comes down to when we can play it and schedule time off from work or school to grind out camos and Prestige levels, along with whatever else the Zombies team has cooked up.

Here’s what we know about when you can play the newest Call of Duty in 2025.

Black Ops 7 now has a confirmed release date of Friday, Nov. 14, 2025. Activision confirmed the news at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, along with a slew of new information about the game. It has reconfirmed the date multiple times amid unsubstantiated rumors of an early release date.

BO7 will first become playable for those in New Zealand at midnight time. Players who create an NZ account and change their console’s region can play at the same time (5am CT) and this countdown below shows exactly when that is on Nov. 13 (depending on where you are in the world):

BO7 will include a four-player co-op campaign, multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone integration later this year. There’s going to be plenty of content to keep CoD players busy, including Mastery camos across all four modes, and the new Endgame campaign mode featuring co-op in the massive Avalon map.
