We’ve all been there: You’re hunting down a particular Alpha Pal to add to your collection, but things go awry and it ends up knocked cold instead of living it up in a Pal Sphere. That’s rough. You need a redo, so let’s go over how bosses respawn in Palworld.
The good news is that, yes, bosses do respawn in Palworld. But the question remains: When, exactly? The answer depends on the type of boss. Most bosses return after a set amount of time, while one does not.
When do Alpha Pal bosses respawn in Palworld?
Alpha Bosses in the overworld will respawn in Palworld after about 15 real-time minutes. In all likelihood, Alpha Pals, the massive Pals that roam the overworld, are the first boss monsters you’ll add to your collection. They can range in level, and capturing one could rely on higher-tier Pal Spheres. But if you make a mistake and the boss gets incapacitated, you’ll need to try again. Thankfully, the wait isn’t so long. But be more careful during the next run.
When do dungeon bosses respawn?
Features of a dungeon are completely randomized in Palworld. Said random aspects include the dungeon’s layout, its loot, its enemies, and the Alpha Pal that acts as the final confrontation. Dungeons reset every 10 real-time minutes. But defeating the boss changes the length of time before the dungeon resets. You can re-enter the dungeon after the boss is defeated after waiting out the timer.
You can find the dungeon’s reset time by approaching the entrance and checking the countdown under ‘Until Expiration’:
It also varies on dungeon type. Cave dungeons are large with winding corridors and loot to gather. Sealed Realm-type dungeons, on the other hand, drop you into a boss arena already against the Alpha. These dungeons are shown as glowing blue teleportation circles on the ground. Sealed Realm bosses will respawn after a real-time hour.

When do Tower Bosses respawn?
Unlike the Alphas, Tower Bosses can be challenged again immediately after you defeat them in Palworld. Unlike other bosses in the game, there is no set time you need to wait. You can, if you want, battle against Zoe & Grizzbolt all day long and farm experience points and precious materials. Tower Bosses are the only bosses that let you do this. This is good news, especially since there’s a glitch that lets you capture tower bosses and add them to your roster — until a patch fixes it, of course.
