What’s included with each version of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

Just how much money should I be throwing at this?

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is here and picking a version to purchase is a confusing mess. For a fighting game, GBVSR leans heavily into the RPG aesthetic with a nigh-overwhelming selection of options dependent on your platform and other factors.

Which version of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising should you get?

Ultimately, it comes down to how much you actually plan on playing GBVSR. If you’re not sure, download the Free Edition to get your feet wet and a general feel for the game as a whole. While there’s a lot that’s locked behind the paid versions, there is enough to determine if this fantasy fighter is worth your time.

Should that be the case, then I would advise skipping the Standard Edition entirely. The reason for this is that an extra $25 unlocks what is covered in the Deluxe Character Pass 1 and more for half the price. Essentially, if you’re going to commit, it’s worth spending the extra money because it’s cheaper in the long run.

What is the GBVSR Pack?

By purchasing either the Standard or Deluxe Edition, players get the Rising Skyfarer outfits for Gran and Djeeta. Additionally, they can also choose between the Eternals’ Transcendence or Evokers’ Domain sets. One piece of fine print is that the GBVSR Pack is not available to PC players through Steam. At the time of this writing, it is only available to PlayStation players with a Granblue Fantasy account. Also, only one set may be redeemed per account.
