So, how was Valentine’s Day for you? I’d rather not speak on it if you don’t mind. The closest I got to intimate interaction Thursday was having a nurse drain blood from my veins. Aah, Je t’aime. Still, now it’s the weekend, and I hope for all of you the last seven days have been good ones.

I haven’t played many video games because I hate them. Well, that might be hyperbole. It’s more accurate to say that I’m just not really enjoying anything at the moment. I did spend many, many hours scared, frankly, shitless as I picked my way through the nightmare that is Metro Exodus. As you may have seen in my review, Exodus is a title for which atmosphere is paramount, where each and every new corner houses something ready to lunge at the camera and, conveniently, your neck. Scary stuff.

But enough about me, what have the rest of you been playing this week? No doubt many of you are still working your way through Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts III, but perhaps you have been distracted by Apex Legends and its apparent successor, the brilliant Tetris 99.
