Purely and simply… evil
Howdy friends, and you are my friends, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? As we head into November (my birthday next Friday, so here’s your official warning), the year shows no sign of slowing down — packed out with both video game and movie releases. I’m so behind on so much of it… Metroid Dread, Shang Chi, Deathloop, No Time to Die… I have so much to catch up on. Hopefully, I’ll be getting around to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune this weekend, which gains ultra priority by the mere inclusion of Rebecca Ferguson — a lady who leaves me all red-cheeked and kicking at imaginary gravel. I know it’s quite the divisive movie, but I’m all on board for the experience, either way.
What have I been playing this week? Not all that much, honestly. Or at least nothing particularly new. I must have been horny af as I dived back into the underworld of Hades. Unlocking the weapon perk mechanic has added fresh engagement to what is, without a doubt, one of the best “persistently evolving” video games I’ve played — always sending exciting new features your way just as you think you’ve seen it all. I also took a look at ININ Games’ Cotton re-releases — Cotton 100% and Panorama Cotton — I’ll hopefully have some words for you on these in the near future.
But anyway, I’ve said enough. It’s Saturday morning and we all have matters to attend to, stuff to do, coffee to drink, donuts to eat. But before you get into that, you should take a couple of minutes to dive into the comments below and share with us Whatcha Been Playing? Whether you’re battling EMMIs in Metroid Dread, utilizing the new Suspend Cycle feature of Returnal, run ‘n’ gunning with the Guardians of the Galaxy, or playing a video game that isn’t set in outer space, share the love with your fellow Destructoidians — As this article’s popularity shows, we all love hearing about it!
Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
