Over at Japanator, we’re always checking out cool things, and so in my usual perusal of the Japanese blogocube, I came across this little video originally from Nico Nico Douga of what Pokemon monsters would look like if they were moved into the world of Dragon Quest.
Some of the monster changes are benign, like Ditto — but ones like Pikachu are downright frightening. If you’ve ever come across a Nikuman doujinshi, it’s that sort of fright. Of course, there’s Charizard, who enters into the category of bad Akira Toriyama fanart.
And hey, at least this video wasn’t of Pokemon x Dragon Quest fan fiction.
