What are Terriballs in Warzone Purgatory Island?

Decipher Purgatory Island's greatest mystery.

When you first jump into Purgatory Island, you’ll likely have noticed that a few challenges involve using Terriballs. It’s a term that isn’t explicitly explained, nor does it appear frequently on the map.

So, if you’re eager to unravel the secrets of Purgatory Island, let’s dig into what Terriballs are in Warzone.

Where to find Terriballs in Warzone Purgatory Island

Terriballs are giant spheres that appear randomly on the map or in the Scare Package. Try not to confuse them with the orb-like Portals, as I did, since they are pretty similar in design. You can tell the difference as Portals will be marked on the map (Terriballs won’t be), and they remain stationary. Essentially, Terriballs look like big gumballs that you can push around.

Warzone’s Purgatory Island event presents two challenges with the Terriball. In particular, you must defeat enemy Operators and Mercenaries with it. Shoot, melee, or run into the ball to launch it in a specific direction. As long as someone is in its pathway, it’ll bring the opponent down.

If you’re trying to do this with the Mercenary Kills objective, I strongly suggest opting for the vehicle takedowns instead. It’s much easier to complete this challenge with a car in light of the Terriball’s randomized spawns. You must, however, eliminate three other players using the ball. I find it best to drop down to Prison, the center point of Rebirth Island, as Scare Packages and Operators frequently show up here.

Wait for a package to appear and then open it to get some Terriballs rolling (they won’t always spawn, though). An opponent will likely be nearby, so start shooting the ball to earn points for the challenge. Be careful not to get hit by them, too, because they can be unpredictable.
