Updated on November 3, 2025: Added Destructive Death V2 and also Dark Thunder V2.
This game has a huge variety of Breathing styles and Demon Blood Arts. The best Breathing and BDAs in Weak Legacy 2 depend on whether you’re going for PVP and PVE. That’s why I’ll do two separate tier lists for both categories for PVE and PVP. Here’s my complete Weak Legacy 2 tier list for Breathing and Blood Demon Arts.
Weak Legacy 2 Breathing Tier List

When it comes to the best Breathing in Weak Legacy 2 it all comes down to PVP vs PVE. For example, Moon V2 deals the most DPS in the game for PVE but it has slow animations that can be interrupted in PVP so Sun’s faster moves take the edge there. Let’s dive into all Breathing techniques individually and talk about their strengths and weaknesses below.

| Breathing Style | PVP & PVE Ranking Reasons |
|---|---|
![]() Moon Breathing | • Moon is the hardest Breathing style to get at V2 but it’s damn worth it for PVE since it’s the highest PVE DPS style in the game • The entire rotation including Crimson Lineage Impalement from V2 nukes mobs and deals a lot of damage to bosses • It’s also good for PVP but slightly less so than Sun because Moon has a lot of animations that can be interrupted if you don’t time them right • In return you do get a really good counter move • Plus if you’ve unlocked V2 you do have the Tsugikuni clan as well so you’re getting a ton of Durability, Speed and Strength • It’s arguably the best style in Weak Legacy 2 |
![]() Sun Breathing | • Sun is in my opinion the best PVP breathing style in the game • While it doesn’t have as much sustained DPS as Moon the moveset is better since the moves have better and quicker animations • Both the V1 and the V2 are good for PVP with V1 being A and V2 being the top of S • The moves are quite spammable and offer good mobility as well • Overall, if you want to min max, go Sun for PVP and Moon for PVE |
![]() Insect Breathing | • Insect Rework Notes: Insect did not get a V2 but it’s still really good because the rework buffed it. Horsefly gives a much better Caprice and Bee mode gives you a stronger bee string. Horsefly is still the best due to stunlock combos and the highest DPS. • Insect is one of the best PVP styles in the game because it’s so easy to get and level and the entire movelist is great for comboing right off the bat • It’s also good for PVE bosses due to massive stun and single-target damage potential • It’s not the best for AOE damage though • You can buff Insect with the Kocho clan |
![]() Mist Breathing | • The rework made Mist really good and likewise the Tokito clan is now one of the best • Mist had mid damage and stun potential but now both have been improved with a better moveset • It still has massive AOE damage which is really good for PVE • You also get some mobility for PVP with Z but Sun V2 is still better for PVP • Obscuring Clouds is massive damage but hard to hit and luckily it got a miss variant where it spawns an AOE burn area for some battlefield control • The new Sea of Clouds and Haze is a really good stun-lock dashing move for mobility and DPS that Mist badly needed for rotations and combo extension • Mist is looking amazing for PVE now and actually doing much better for PVP thanks to Sea of Clouds and Haze and the miss variant on ult |
![]() Water Breathing | • Water V1 isn’t that good for PVP nor PVE but once you get the V2 version then it becomes really powerful • The Water V2 is so good due to some of the best stun lock comboes and Dead Calm is a perfect high damage finisher • It offers great sustain, damage and lots of decent AOE for PVE • You also get a ton of mobility with the moves that make you harder to hit, especially Dragon Fury and Waterfall Basin • Overall it’s just a flexible style for both PVE and PVP • Best combined with the Tomioka clan for the Water buff |
![]() Thunder Breathing | • Thunder is another PVP/PVE powerhouse • Similar to Water you get a lot of mobility and some great damage • I love it for early PVE grinding but it holds up well in PVP due to the combos and movement • It also deals really good damage |
![]() Flower Breathing | • Flower is a really great defensive PVP Breathing option due to Vermillion Eye being essentially an auto dodge button that lasts for a while • You won’t be getting hit with it on but it does cost a lot of Breath • The DPS and combo potential aren’t as OP as the other A-Tiers and S-Tiers but they’re still at a pretty competitive level |
![]() Flame Breathing | • Flame is like Magma Fruit in Blox Fruits, amazing for PVE but sucks for PVP • The moves have a lot of AOE and decent damage that you’ll love as a beginner PVE grinder • That said their long startups and animations make it harder to hit in PVP • Best Combined with the Rengoku clan for the Flame buff |
![]() Sound Breathing | • Sound is a pretty reliable PVP and PVE option but it does pop off more later on whereas Flame is good right of the bat • The String Performance blender is really strong for both • Best combined with the Uzui clan which is a really strong option for both the Sound buff and some good Durability and damage reduction |
![]() Wind Breathing | • I might have lowballed Wind a bit since while it does have great combo potential, I felt the DPS was slightly off • It’s definitely a really viable PVP option due to how fast it is and how easy the moves are to both spam and combo into each other • It’s definitely a plausible argument for A-Tier PVP • Best combined with the Shinazugawa clan for the Wind buff |
![]() Serpent Breathing | • Really strong PVP option due to the combo and sustained DPS potential • Slithering Serpent is a great combo finisher similar to the Water breathing ultimate • If you know how to combo you can land a ton of damage in PVP |
![]() Love Breathing | • I’m not a fan of Love early since it sucks for both PVP and PVE • That said once you get the 85+ mastery it gets much better with the end-game moves for PVP and decent for PVE too so I put it lower since it needs grinding to be good • You can buff Love with the Kanroji clan |
Weak Legacy 2 Blood Demon Art Tier List

The best Blood Demon Art in Weak Legacy 2 is a similar situation to the Breathing styles in that it depends on PVP vs PVE. That said, overall, you cannot go wrong with Cryokinesis, Obi and Arrow for both since these along with something like Emotion are some of the best BDAs in the game. Let’s take a look at each BDA individually and talk about its PVE and PVP performance.

| Blood Demon Arts | PVP & PVE Ranking Reasons |
|---|---|
![]() Cryokinesis | • If you want raw damage Cryokinesis is in the top 3 movesets for DPS in the entire game along with Moon breathing • It’s got a lot of spammable low CD moves that combo well and deal a lot of damage • Frozen Lotus is an iconic unblockable that sets up other moves like a lot of damage from Cold White Princess • You also get amazing mobility with Lotus Vines to start comboes • It’s a BDA that’s perfectly suited for both PVP and PVE |
![]() Obi Manipulation | • Obi manipulation is another BDA that’s amazing for both PVE and PVP • You have huge mobility, huge AOEs and one of the best ultimate moves with Pulverizing Obi that covers a massive area • Obi moves are just great range and AOE overall with really good damage • Obi Assault is a great combo starter for PVP and you can pretty much just spam the moves do really well against all bosses and most players • In my opinion among the top 3 BDAs along with Cryo and Emotion |
![]() Emotion Manifestation | • Now Emotion takes a while to get started because the opening moves aren’t the best but once you hit 85+ mastery it gets really good • You can pull off some amazing comboes in PVP with M1s into any move combined with Ascetic Blaze fighting style for mix-ups • Countless Striking Trees is just excellent poke and Wind Blasts deal a lot of damage for finishing people • Arguably Arrow Manipulation is better but I just enjoy Emotion from the early days |
![]() Dark Thunder | • Dark Thunder is so slow for both PVE and PVP • The moves have horrible stuns so you can’t really combo that well and you have to use something like Soryu for stuns • In additon to low stuns the damage is mid at best • I don’t recommend it for PVP nor PVE • That said Dark Thunder V2 is another story • C is amazing mobility and damage while Z and X are great combos to use • With B you get the best M1s in the game since they deal a lot of damage and have massive range • Your V is a great finisher with the second variant and the first one is a great combo extended • Overall lots of stun and combo potential here with great damage and long range/mobility |
![]() Arrow Manipulation | • One of the best BDAs in the game for PVP and bosses • Arrow Plunge is such a powerful combo starter because you can pull enemies from a decent range • Then Arrow Pull and Down are great mix ups with Down just being an insta-hit damage spam from range that’s difficult to block and dodge • Arrow Spikes is just an overall decent finisher • You can’t go wrong with Arrow, it’s the communities top 3 BDA even though I enjoy Emotion a bit more due to nostalgia |
![]() Destructive Death | • Destructive Death is another PVP BDA that’s also great for PVE • That said I prefer it for PVP because it’s got a lot of unblockable moves that need to be parried • It deals really good damage and the air jump is great mobility and allows you to get out of pressure situations in PVP • As for Destructive Death V2 it’s good but it’s honestly a bit of a downer • It deals good damage but the X and V are so easy for your opponents or even PVE mobs to cancel • Z is still an great combo starter for a guardbreak and Blue Silver Chaotic deals amazing damage even though it’s hard to land • Your best bet is to combo into Blue Silver Chaotic from an aircombo so Z and B are your strongest moves • It’s also good for PVE bosses since you can combo them more easily than players but overall not the best in the game |
![]() String | • String is so good because it’s flexible for both PVP and PVE • For PVP you have really good combos with the guardbreak String Slash that can only be perfectly blocked and you can pull players • Then the two massive AOE damage moves with String Field and Arena of Strings are great finishers both in PVE and PVP • Overall String isn’t the most DPS in the game but it’s one of the most flexible BDAs and great for PVP |
![]() Exploding Blood | • Exploding Blood is in my opinion a more PVE-oriented BDA • You get a lot of AOE moves for grinding that deal decent damage • You have mid combo stun capabilities for PVP but in return your moves have large hitboxes so it’s easier to hit enemies • That said, for me, it’s a B-Tier for PVP because you can’t combo stun-lock as much as the upper styles • Still amazing for PVE though |
![]() Blood Sickle | • If you know how to use Sickle and its various combos then this is a higher-tier BDA • M1s into Flying Sickles and M1s into uppercut into Rampant Rampage are a great place to start • That said without knowing how to combo well Sickle struggles due to mediocre damage and range • It’s definitely a better BDA if you practice it well • It’s better in PVE because the enemies won’t block and dodge you as much |
![]() Hiasobi Temari | • In short, Hiasobi is amazing for PVE and an S-Tier because you can just kite mobs and bosses with the range attacks • Play Ball, Ball Kick and Bounding Ball are your main kiting moves • Then you can just grab them with Spiraling Shot for high PVE DPS • That said this is all much harder to do in PVP since players can just rush you down and stop your ranged shenanigans • You have a good defensive move with the kick to stun them but that’s pretty much it • Use for PVE to great success and I don’t recommend it for PVP |
![]() Dream Manipulation | • Dream is also amazing for PVE since it deals a lot of damage but for PVP it struggles IMO • This is because the moves have low range and low stun • That said this is not a problem for bosses and mobs so it’s a great progression/grinding BDA |
![]() Speed | • It has okay stuns and mobility but the damage is horrendous • Plus, most moves here have slow windups and you’ll get bodied in PVP since enemies can just wait you out and combo you • This is the worst BDA in the game |
