Japanese fashion doll manufacturer Volks has released images of a new doll based on Sakura Amamiya, the spirited lead of Sega’s brand new JRPG, Sakura Wars. While the doll is undeniably beautiful, it looks like Ms. Amamiya is coming for your bank balance, as well as your heart.

Releasing as part of the long-running “Dollfie Dream” line, Sakura will retail for around ¥74,800, or roughly $700 USD. This hefty price-tag will come as no surprise to anyone well attuned to Volks premium products, which feature the same high levels of material quality and meticulous craftsmanship that one would expect from the finest Italian fashion house.

This is not Volks’ first foray into video game collaborations. Some of you may remember their equally attractive, equally expensive dolls of protagonists 2B and 9S from Square Enix’ sci-fit hit NieR: Automata, which the company released back in 2018. The company has also released Dollfie Dream takes on famous anime brands such as Sailor Moon and Hatsune Miku.

You can check out images of Sakura Amamiya in the gallery below, which is probably about as close as I’m getting to owning this doll. Pre-orders will go live on the official Volks site between June 6 and June 12, with shipping expected from June 15.

Sakura Wars launches today on PS4.
