[UPDATE: January 26 has now also been confirmed as the release date for Europe.]

Bandai Namco revealed that upcoming anime fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ will be receiving roster additions beyond its initial release date, which has been announced as January 26, 2018 for North America and Europe.

The Ultimate Edition of the fast and furious fighter not only includes a “Commentator voice pack” and an “Anime music pack” (which seemingly adds recognisable themes from the show to the game) but also contains a “season pass” of sorts for eight new characters.

Of course, there is zero information currently available as to who these new fighters will be, but it’s apparent that Bandai Namco clearly have long-term plans for the game, which has received praise from many who played it during last month’s closed beta. I myself am a Super Casual when it comes to the Dragon Ball franchise, so why don’t you share with us who you would like to see make the roster somewhere down the line.

Dragon Ball FighterZ launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One in North America and Europe on January 26, 2018. Japan will follow on February 1.
