It’s called Korogashi Puzzle Katamari Damacy, and it’s a DSiWare title that Namco Bandai is rolling up for Japan. Instead of puzzle pieces, you’re arranging rows and columns of things you’ve rolled up before in Katamari Damacy: scissors, bananas, dogs. It seems that these “sets” are thrown up into a black hole in space, all while the King of Cosmos watches on. The game play reminds me of another puzzle game I’ve played, but I can’t quite remember which one it was. Any ideas, Destructoid?
Famitsu says that there’s two game modes, “Endless” and “Challenge.” Endless is a mindless mode where you play until you’re tired of it. Challenge gives you certain themed items to roll up, just like the Katamari Damacy games.
Otaku, get this (the rest of you will not): Vocaloid star Hatsune Miku is singing the end theme for this game. Her song “Katamari of Love” is sure to be an otaku anthem, and is sure to fuel sales of the game alone.
Speaking of sales, this game hits Japan’s DSiWare service on March 25th, and will cost 500 DSi points.
