Finally, an executive that knows what the hell they are talking about! All praise due Ubisoft UK managing director Rob Cooper, for he has prophecized that online gaming sites are the future. Straight from a genius’ mouth to your eyes:
Speaking in the latest edition of the Games Central podcast, Cooper said that “a lot, lot more” of Ubisoft’s money is now being spent online.
“Only last week we were looking at ways and means we should further our spend in sites generally, because it is so active. You see such a big result on a website,” he stated.
“[Gamers] like to read it when they want to read it, rather than actually sit for a certain time or read when a magazine comes out,” he observed. “Certainly, if I’m looking on the Internet, I’ve tended to look at things because it’s instant. Rather than wait for something to read it, I can read it there and then, which to me is much more important.”
We are just going to go ahead and assume this brilliant man has his keen eyes already focused on Destructoid. We’re ready to sell out when you are Rob. All praise due Ubisoft.
