Nintendo is just full of surprises this week. From “accidentally” leaking Janemba in Dragon Ball FighterZ to surprise releasing “The Hero” in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it looks like Nintendo has mastered the art of shocking its customers with shadow drops. From out of nowhere, Nintendo UK’s website has posted a listing for the NightDive Studios Turok 2: Seeds of Evil remaster with an August 8, 2019 release date.

Masterfully bringing the retro shooter into the modern era, I honestly have no complaints with the quality of NightDive’s work. I didn’t think Turok 2 held up all that well in my review a few years back, but it’s still worth grabbing if you intend to get some multiplayer mayhem going. Since the remaster fixes the awful framerate of the original and even has online play, there’s really no reason to not buy it if Turok still interests you.

There doesn’t seem to be any Switch exclusive features for this latest release, but it will give you the chance to play Turok 2 on the go. That’s much better than the Game Boy Color version released eons ago.
