Publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games have proudly announced that super-fun beat-’em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge smashed its release sales expectations, having sold a mighty one million copies during its first seven days of release. Radical.

“Tribute Games set out to make the ultimate celebration of a chapter in TMNT history that means the world to us, and it’s been wonderful to watch the accessible fun of beat-em-ups resonate with longtime fans and genre newcomers alike,” said Tribute Games Co-Founder Jean-Francois Major in a press release. “We’re thankful for all of the support and encouragement the passionate TMNT community has shown us since the reveal of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, and we look forward to watching players continue to discover the easter eggs we’ve hidden throughout the game while chaining together some bodacious combos.”

Kicking off on PC and consoles on July 16, Shredder’s Revenge is a passionate recall of the classic Konami TMNT arcades of yesterday. Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael take to the streets of New York once again to see off the evil Foot Clan, as well as a host of iconic villains from the classic 1987 animated series. Joined on the journey by pals Splinter, April O’Neil, and an unlockable Casey Jones, our heroes in a half-shell battle it out in colorful and chaotic arcade action. It’s good old-fashioned fun for one-to-four players, and a must-buy for any fan of the enduring TMNT franchise.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is also available via Xbox Game Pass. You can check out our review of the bodacious brawler right here.
