Before it came into my life I missed it so bad
I’m not ashamed that I want to play the new SingStar. I am ashamed that this trailer is so awful. First of all, I just don’t care about Carly Rae Jepsen anymore, and I’m going to need to see some more updated songs. I do, however, love the fact that you can use your own smartphone as a mic or the existing SingStar microphones, of which I have at least eight from the various PS2 and PS3 iterations.
It’s just that this trailer highlights everything I hate about marketing. Look at those teenagers. I’ve never seen one in my life enjoying themselves that thoroughly as though they’re having some “good clean fun” with a game before, let alone karaoke. It’s so fake. So polished. So stupid. I would have bought into it without the trailer, but that’s just me — I know there’s an audience out there who will go bonkers for the game after seeing ol’ Carly Rae involved.
Oh well. At least there are still a couple of Queens songs I can fall back on when I inevitably join the upcoming SingStar party. And I’ll be out for blood if you guys want to challenge me.
