Give that meat a nice, firm squeeze
“A beating heart” was the theme of this year’s Global Game Jam — an event held in various sites around the world simultaneously where participants have to design a game in 48 hours. And among all the submissions, Heart to Get by the team of Menno Deen, Luuk Waarbroek, Mitch Leeuwe, Rob Tieben, Jan Oonk, and Mark van Kuijk went waaaaaay outside the box.
The PC / Mac game involves two teams that each control a squishy heart-like creature. The blue creature is trying to catch up and make love to the pink creature, while pink wants to keep as far away from blue as possible. Teammates move their critter by simulating a beating heart.
This is done by squeezing long, thick slabs of meat.
You can’t just pound away at your meat. You’ve got to be gentle. Apply pressure with a firm yet loving grip. Find your rhythm and get that blood pumping, but don’t get too excited or you’ll make a mess. Be in sync with your partner; don’t be selfish and only think about your own satisfaction.
Innuendo.
