Thirty minutes of Team Fortress 2 on Oculus Rift

See all of the different modes

Tested.com has one of the few Oculus Rift virtual reality units out right now, and some of the staff put it to the test on Team Fortress 2. The video is long, but it’s very cool to see all of the options available. As always, it’s impressive to see the latency between head-turning and screen movement.

Proper gameplay begins around the five minute mark of the video, where they show all of the different view modes available, each with varying degrees of control relegated to the mouse and to the Oculus Rift headset. A few of the modes allow players to shoot in one direction while looking in another direction, functionality that could save a Heavy from a backstab or two.
