Okay who’s the wise guy that voted for Skyrim?

Creating a list of the top 10 games for any given console is a difficult task. With the Nintendo 3DS, there are more than 1,000 titles eligible to make said list, covering everything from the console heavyweights like Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS all the way down to the small, obscure gems that blessed the 3DS eShop, like Attack of the Friday Monsters! With such a vast and eclectic catalog, I doubt any two top 10 lists would look exactly the same. Over the weekend, the Destructoid Community proved that to be true when it voted on its list of the 10 best games for the Nintendo 3DS after reading the titles chosen by the Destructoid staff.

A few titles appear on both lists, but it’s clear from below our community has different priorities when it comes to playing games on their 3DS. If you’ve only just picked up your own Nintendo 3DS or 2DS and are wondering what games to get for it, you really can’t go wrong with the wonderful 10 titles listed below.

Metroid: Samus Returns

Pokemon X/Y

Ocarina of Time

Shin Megami Tensei IV

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Super Mario 3D Land

Kid Icarus Uprising

Animal Crossing New Leaf

A Link Between Worlds

Fire Emblem Awakening

If anyone is wondering, this vote wasn’t even close. It was Fire Emblem: Awakening all the way from the minute the poll opened. I want to thank everyone who participated in picking a community top 10 list and if you want to sound off on your personal favorite games for the 3DS, hit up the C-Blogs and start writing.
