Microsoft is down a boss, as Phil Harrison has resigned from his reign as VP of Xbox in Europe. GamesIndustry International has the exclusive confirmation of the departure that’s been rumored since GDC.

Xbox is framing the split as amicable. That’s good PR right there. But, we know how any Highlander situation goes down. Phil Spencer menacingly saying “There can be only one!” before decapitating the less fortunate Phil. It happened to the poor guy working in the cafeteria, it happened to an Excel programmer, and now it’s happened to Phil Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, Harrison’s family asks for donations of Doritos.
