Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass Wave 6

Nintendo has finally announced when Wave 6 – the last wave – of the Booster Course Pass DLC is going to hit. It will drop November 9, 2023.

We’ve also got a solid list of all the tracks that are to be included in this final wave:

Acorn Cup

  • Tour Rome Avanti (Tour)
  • DK Mountain (GameCube)
  • Daisy Circuit (Wii)
  • Piranha Plant Cove

Spiny Cup

  • Madrid Drive (Tour)
  • Rosalina’s Ice World (3DS)
  • Bowser Castle 3 (SNES)
  • Rainbow Road (Wii)

That’s a pretty good list. DK Mountain was the indisputable best course from Mario Kart Double Dash. Perhaps the best in the entire Mario Kart series. With Bowser Castle 3, I always like to see Mode7 tracks get a glow-up. Then, finally, I always love torturing my family using Rainbow Road. It’s nice to have another rock to throw.

Beyond that, we’re also getting some new racers that were previously announced. Diddy Kong and Funky Kong will be joining the DK Crew (Hungh!). Making their debut in the Mario Kart series is also the fan favorite Peachette, and Pauline, who I’m constantly explaining what game she’s from to my family.

Also, there are 16 new Mii costumes added to the mix, including one based on Daisy which can be unlocked by scanning her Amiibo. Finally, they’re implementing a music player so that you can listen to your favorite tracks from your favorite tracks without it being overlaid with “Yahaa! Waheeey! Wahwahwahwah!”

All of this gets released as part of Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass DLC on November 9, 2023. Just in time for the sacred holiday of Black Friday.
