In a blow to quality in just about everything, the Burger King games (as a whole) have officially gone double platinum — meaning they’ve sold over 2 million copies combined. Released just a month ago, these promotional titles have sparked some kind of phenomenon … maybe.

Russ Klein, president of global marketing at Burger King, said in a statement, “Most video games are considered a blockbuster when they reach the 1 million mark in sales, and this collection has achieved twice that, thanks in part to the great value for the money and convenient holiday stocking stuffer appeal.”

To be fair, these games were insanely cheap and BK promoted the hell out of them. It was pretty much a lock that these things would end up so successful.
