To me, Kane & Lynch seems like an ideal candidate for the whole game-to-movie conversion process. You strip out the technical and mechanical issues, and hopefully, hopefully, you have an interesting story. Jamie Foxx and Bruce Willis are still on board, after all.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of the film’s director. Patrick Alessandrin (District 13: Ultimatum) is no longer attached to Kane & Lynch — and the planned October start date has been pushed into “TBD” territory. Yikes.
According to the Los Angeles Times, three directors are being considered: Wayne Kramer (Running Scared), F. Gary Gray (Law Abiding Citizen, The Italian Job), and Antoine Fugua (Brooklyn’s Finest). Of those, I suppose Gray sticks out to me the most. Who would be your ideal director for Kane & Lynch?
