Switch remake headed to other platforms
Forever Entertainment has confirmed that its recent remake of Sega’s arcade classic The House of the Dead will be headed to both PC and further console platforms next week, following on from its release on Nintendo Switch back on April 7.
The first word of fresh ports for the legendary rail shooter came about after a PlayStation database entry was uncovered by some eagle-eyed Redditors, but now the publisher, along with developer MegaPixel Studio, has confirmed that The House of the Dead: Remake will launch on PS4, PC (via Steam), Xbox One and Stadia on April 28, priced at $24.99. You can check out the trailer for the Switch edition below.
The House of the Dead: Remake is a fully rebuilt version of Sega’s 1998 arcade smash hit. While the characters, enemies, bosses, and stage layout remain faithful to the original release, MegaPixel Studio has spruced that action up with new character models, redesigned textures, new weapons, and high-res visuals. Additional bonus features include an all-new “Horde” mode, a nostalgic museum of artwork and assets, and a Photo Mode, so you can capture all of the exploding brains and sinew in all of its gory.
