The best Archguns in Warframe (tier list)

Big guns.

If you’re looking for the best Archgun and a tier list of all the current ones in Warframe, we’re breaking it down in two ways. Since they have their uses for Archwing missions and ground missions, Archgun viabilities can vary.

Warframe best Archgun tier list

The following will be two separate tier lists for all current Archguns in Warframe.

For Archwing missions:

S-Tier

  • Kuva Grattler
  • Larkspur
  • Larkspur Prime
  • Mausolon

A-Tier

  • Cortege
  • Corvas Prime
  • Cyngas
  • Fluctus
  • Grattler
  • Imperator Vandal
  • Kuva Ayanga
  • Mandonel
  • Velocitus

B-Tier

  • Corvas
  • Imperator
  • Morgha
  • Prisma Dual Decurions

C-Tier

  • Dual Decurion
  • Phaedra

The best Archguns for Archwing missions are the Kuva Grattler, both Larkspurs, and the Mausolon. They deal incredible AoE damage and have lots of ammo. Pair that with just their overall strengths and they can clear all types of enemy mobs in space easily.

Now, in terms of ground viability, some things will change.

For ground missions:

S-Tier

  • Kuva Ayanga
  • Kuva Grattler
  • Larkspur
  • Larkspur Prime
  • Mausolon

A-Tier

  • Cortege
  • Fluctus
  • Grattler
  • Mandonel
  • Morgha
  • Velocitus

B-Tier

  • Corvas Prime
  • Cyngas
  • Imperator Vandal
  • Prisma Dual Decurions

C-Tier

  • Corvas
  • Dual Decurion
  • Imperator
  • Phaedra

The top tiers mostly stay the same just because of their overall viability for mobbing and big damage.

Anything that does AoE damage is also heavily favored here because they typically require less ammo to use to kill more enemies. Those that deal single-target damage are just not as strong as what’s considered meta.

Don’t necessarily write off those in lower tiers, either. The Corvas Prime is an excellent bossing gun and is one of the better guns to use in the Profit Taker fight. It’s just a bit too niche to be considered as strong as the Mausolon and others at the top.

When or if this stuff is revisited alongside the nearly forgotten Modular Archwing system, it’ll be interesting to see if the meta shakes up.
