Take-Two got the most positive game reviews of 2010

According to review aggregator Metacritic, Take-Two enjoyed more positivity in the reviews department than any other publisher in 2010. It ended the year with a 77.1 average as opposed to Nintendo’s 76.1 and Capcom’s 74.5.

The critical success was helped in no small part thanks to Red Dead Redemption and its 95 average score and Civilization V‘s 90. Its other major victory was The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, which averaged 83. Its lowest scoring game was Major League Baseball 2K10 on the Wii, which nabbed a score of 52 overall.

So, pretty good stuff for a publisher that is almost exclusively associated with one or two titles. What do you reckon, though? Were Red Dead and Civ two of the very best games of last year?
