Workers beware

StarCraft II is five years old today. Hooray?

Many of us are probably more concerned with how the standalone expansion Legacy of the Void is shaping up. I was about to move onto my next browser tab, but something caught my eye.

As part of Blizzard’s fifth anniversary celebration for the game, the developer has enabled confetti explosions. You’ll see them whenever you kill worker units. Or you can join me in watching this gif until your eyes feel all melty — a price well worth paying, as far as I’m concerned.

Lookin’ good.

Blizzard has also added a silly anniversary portrait. To unlock it, just play any game of StarCraft II before Monday, August 3.
