Star Wars: Outlaws gives us a look at its roguish underworld

That’s a lot of aces

The Empire is everywhere. It’s also in Star Wars: Outlaws coming from Ubisoft and Massive in 2024.

As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, we’ve been given a trailer that shows… uh, nothing. I mean, you play as a lady-rogue, who is young, spunky, and wanted by the Empire. She drives a speederbike and has something that looks like a furry axolotl. She also flies what is the ugliest looking ship I’ve seen in the Star Wars Universe, and in a galaxy full of space-pickles, that says a lot.

So we’re not given much to go on in terms of what kind of game Star Wars: Outlaws will be. It’s apparently open-world. Wait “First open world Star Wars game?” That’s absolutely stretching it, Ubisoft.

I’m choosing to believe that this is a crossover between Star Wars and the 1997 LucasArts FPS Outlaws. So, it will be a Star Wars western, which would actually make sense and fit the trailer.

Anyway, we know that Star Wars: Outlaws will be coming to Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2024.
