Square Enix kicked off their presentation with the next game from Eidos Montreal: Guardians of the Galaxy.

I am Groot? No, you’re a video game, dude!

The whole gang is here, and Square Enix is using the off-brand MCU look again, with a different studio no less. The voices for a few characters seem a little off, in part because the MCU ones are so character-defining.

Oh and Cosmo is in! So they’re going off-MCU book here to some extent. Plus, “haunting repercussions” of story choice was a marketing term thrown out, which I need to see to believe. It’s out on October 26 for PC,PS4/PS5, and Xbox One/Series X/S. Here’s some pre-order info:

To be clear this is not an Avengers expansion. It’s a fully new game from a new studio. And it’s single-player, and you’ll control Star Lord as a Commander Shepard of sorts, controlling your team.
