The collector’s edition for Ubisoft’s long-awaited Splinter Cell: Conviction has been revealed. Well, at least for Australia.
According to retailer JB Hi-Fi, the collector’s edition comes with a slew of goodies, including: a code to unlock “exclusive” in-game content; a 32-page comic book that links the Double Agent storyline to Conviction; the obligatory “making-of” DVD; and a code to download Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory from “Xbox LIVE Arcade.” We’re assuming that last one refers to “Games on Demand,” unless Ubisoft has something up its sleeve we don’t know about.
But the most exciting addition to this special packaging is a Sam Fisher figurine. I don’t know what it looks like, but the idea of a cute little Sam Fisher has us feeling all warm inside. I just hope it looks better than than Altier “figurine” that came with the Assassin’s Creed collector’s edition; I’m still having nightmares.
No word on whether or not this is coming to the United States, but we sure love our collector’s editions, so I wouldn’t rule it out.
