Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends release date, set information, and where to buy

Collect the legends of old.

Arthurian Legends is the first expansion set for Sorcery: Contested Realm. This TCG is already pretty hard to get hold of, but that won’t stop those with Alpha sets and newcomers alike from jumping on the expansion in an attempt to collect every card.

Sorcery: Contested Realm is one of the hardest to find card games on the market. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, its Alpha and Beta sets flew off shelves, and its creators have been struggling to get more products out to retailers since. However, Arthurian Legends offers a chance for the company to get things right and ensure more people can get their hands on the set and the rare cards within its booster packs.

The release date for the Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends set is Q4 2024. This means it should release at some point in the final three months of the year. Information on a more specific release date may be announced closer to the release date, so I’ll update this article if the date is narrowed date any more.

Where to buy the Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends set

The best place to buy the Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends set will be from your local game store. You can find your closest registered retailer through the official store locator. Supporting these businesses is part of the game because it helps enable more event and fuel the community. However, if you can’t get to a store, I do have a couple of online alternatives.

  • Chaos Cards (US & UK): I use Chaos Cards for most of my TCG purchases when it comes to Magic: The Gathering and it’s one of the few retailers in the UK that stocks Sorcery: Contested Realm. It’s reliable, gets stuff delivered quickly, and has a reward system to fund future purchases.
  • Unicorn Cards (US & UK): Unicorn Cards is the only other online retailer with a reliable reputation that currently stocks Sorcery: Contested Realm. I haven’t used it myself, but I know others who do, and it seems to have products in stock most of the time when other sites don’t.

What is the Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends set?

The Sorcery: Contested Realm Arthurian Legends set is the game’s very first expansion, one that delves into Arthurian mythology. For those who don’t understand what this is, it’s the story of King Arthur. This is the legendary knight and king who pulled the sword from the stone. He’s also renowned for wielding the iconic Excalibur, which he was given by The Lady of the Lake.

The set will explore these legends and more, pulling from them for the art and mechanics of each card. As a UK resident and someone who was fascinated with Arthurian stories as a kid, I can’t wait to see more of the set and how it plays into Sorcery: Contested Realm.
