Cross-platform progression available, as well

Hi-Rez Studios has released the latest patch for SMITE and its new features are pretty big. PC, Xbox One and Switch players will be able to play together with new cross-platform support and players can even continue their progression on whichever platform they feel like. PS4 players are left out in the cold, though that has more to do with Sony than Hi-Rez.

To enable cross-platform progression, players just need to link their Hi-Rez account with their Gamertags and everything will be set. You can check out this FAQ to get it done properly, though the feature is enabled by default for new players. If you don’t want to mix player pools between platforms, you can opt out of the feature with a menu toggle. Ranked matches will be limited between PC and consoles, so you don’t have to worry about your rank falling because of someone with a mouse and keyboard.

Currently, some issues are preventing Switch accounts from connecting after linking accounts. Hi-Rez is looking into that problem and will provide a solution as soon as possible. In the meantime, the studio suggests following the steps provided in its FAQ.
