Skullgirls 2nd Encore is coming to PC as a paid update on April 13

Officially has more content than Street Fighter V

Lab Zero has announced that Skullgirls 2^nd Encore, an updated version of Skullgirls Encore that includes new features, will be making its way to PC this week.

2^nd Encore was originally released for PS4 last year and introduced all of the DLC characters, a fully-voiced story mode, challenges, trials, and a survival mode.

While Lab Zero confirmed in another tweet that 2^nd Encore players will be able to play with Encore players and vice-versa, some players who already own the DLC characters are upset that they may not be getting a discount and will be rebuying content they already own.

I’m a huge fan of Skullgirls, but considering the characters were crowdfunded and the added content is seen as being pretty standard for bigger fighting games, I think the players kind of have a point.

I’m sure some people will make comparisons between 2^nd Encore and Street Fighter V’s woeful lack of content. It’s worth keeping in mind that Skullgirls is not, and never has been, a full-price game developed by a major publisher. They’re a bit harder to compare.

Skullgirls 2^nd Encore will be on PC from April 13, and cost $10 for the first week. After that, the price will rise to $15.
