As you increase your pirate infamy in Skull and Bones, you’ll need to match by getting better and more powerful equipment and ships. After the grungy bog iron et al., you’ll soon need stuff like Iroko Plank materials, which are used for the next tier of items in Skull and Bones.
Iroko Planks are found on the western side of the Red Isles in Skull and Bones. Along the coast, Iroko trees grow in abundance, and several settlements offer planks for hard cash. Once you’re ready to begin hoarding the precious planks, head to the western side of the island and get ready to work.
How to get Iroko Planks in Skull and Bones
You have a plethora of options when it comes to getting Iroko Planks in Skull and Bones. The most common and pirate-y way is to track down some ships carrying the stuff and, erm, nicely ask for it. For free. In that case, you’ll need to find the correct Supply Route for Iroko Plank and use the Spyglass to look at ship cargo holds. Once you find a ship carrying the goods, attack and sink it for the booty.
There are, however, more polite ways of finding the goods. Several settlements that are selling the planks for silver dot the western coast of the island. Near the southern tip can be found the Tankazo Lumberyard, which only sells Iroko Planks for 80 silver. Its stock is limited, mind. It’s probably better to harvest some yourself.
At this point of the game, you should have a saw for cutting down trees. In that case, zoom into the map and look for the Iroko tree icon, which looks kind of like a piece of broccoli.
You do need to refine the Iroko logs into planks, though. Be sure to give the Refinery in Saint-Anne a visit if you decide to go this route.
What can you build with Iroko Plank?
Iroko Plank is basically the next level of wood material you need after Acacia. Skull and Bones leans heavily on crafting, and there are multiple tiers of materials you need as you progress. Iroko Planks will let you build higher-level equipment and ships, such as the Spyglass II, the Basilisk cannon, and the Sentinel Cutter — a Rank 2 ship.
