In their coverage of AOU2007, Game Watch shows off Konami’s newest arcade game, Silent Hill: The Arcade. This is a two player light gun game set in the creepy Silent Hill universe, and is set to give Silent Hill fans repeated, rapid fire pants explosions. Fan favorites like “Pyramid Head” and the freaky puppet nurses are set to make wonderful gun targets as players traverse the foggy, rust colored world.
The arcade cabinet in its deluxe form has a 5.1 surround system hidden underneath its curtains to give players a totally immersive experience, but aside from that it looks to be standard Konami gun fare. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but none of that matters as Silent Hill fans are probably going to enjoy it anyway.
Let’s hope this comes stateside – those nurses need to be put down.
