As part of the Yacht Club Presents stream, Yacht Club has announced the next DLC update for Shovel Knight Dig. The Wicked Wishes DLC is free and will arrive alongside a slew of balance and bug fixes sometime this Summer.
The Wicked Wishes expansion has you enter Hoofman’s Guild Hall to rub elbows with other elite adventurers and rise in their ranks. It includes new missions and challenges, relics and buffs, bosses and music; the whole nine. If you’re unfamiliar, Shovel Knight Dig is the roguelite spinoff to 2014’s Shovel Knight.
I don’t mean to tease, but on the stream, they refer to the additional challenges as “rip-roaring.” It’s cute.
Alongside the DLC, they’re also promising over 100 bug fixes, a rebalanced algorithm, and localization fixes. Considering that quite a few player complaints seem to be just about things that need to be tightened, rebalanced, or tweaked, hopefully, this will be exactly what the game needs.
Yacht Club is also saying that this will be the last updated for Shovel Knight Dig. They’re putting a ribbon on it and calling it done. Or however that saying goes. To top things off, they’re releasing ports for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Shovel Knight Dig is currently available for Switch, PC, and mobile platforms. The Wicked Wishes DLC and PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version are aiming for this summer.
