The first of the Serious Sam indies, Serious Sam Double D from Mommy’s Best Games, will release on PC later this month. You can download it on Steam and other such places starting Tuesday, August 30 for $7.99.
The main point that’s been emphasized time and time again is the gun-stacking mechanic. Designer Nathan Fouts says there are 80,640 various gun combinations — and a number like that has to be legit. But don’t take it from me, give this video a moment of your day instead.
“For fuck’s sake, what moron in marketing wrote this press release,” asked Fork Parker, chief financial officer at Devolver Digital, publisher of Serious Sam 3: BFE and the Serious Sam Indie Series. “Just tell them it has a fuck-ton of guns and some big fat titties running around trying to blow you up. Gamers love explosive violence and a nice pair of floppy tits in their face.”
Between this press release and the silly commercials, I think I’m in love.
