Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus is coming to PlayStation Vita in North America this autumn, XSEED Games announced today.

The plot of Shinovi Versus unfolds shortly after the events of Senran Kagura Burst, revisiting the conflict between the ninja gals of the Hanzō National Academy and their sworn rivals from Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy. There’s also a third faction, the Gessen Girls’ Academy, making for a three-way showdown this time around.

On top of the single-player campaign, which boasts 20 different fighters to master, there’s a four-player online battle mode to test your ninpō mettle against other players. And I’m sure more than a few of you will be delighted to hear XSEED is preserving the original Japanese voiceovers for the localized release, completed with English subtitles.

While Shinovi Versus will be available as a digital release via PlayStation Network, XSEED is planning to put out a very limited “Let’s Get Physical” retail version, which sports a soundtrack disc alongside an art and strategy guidebook. So no complaining this time!
