With Dead Cells dominating my late-night gaming sessions this whole week, I’ve been thinking a lot about Risk of Rain and how I’d like to clone myself so I can play both games at once. They might not seem that similar on the surface, but they instill the same sense of satisfaction when you have a fortunate run that gives you all your ideal gear and lets you melt enemies. It’s the best!
Alternatively, I can just wait for Risk of Rain 2, which continues to look better every time I see it. This latest footage might help sell you on the sequel’s shift from tiny 2D sprites to a full 3D world.
In a few short weeks, PAX West attendees will be able to try Risk of Rain 2 at the Indie Megabooth. There’s something like 40 other games, many of which look fab, but I’m making a beeline.
