PUBG Corp. pushed close to a billion dollars in revenue in 2018

PUBG Corp. the publisher for Bluehole Studio and battle royale title PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds revealed its financial earnings for 2018 this week, announcing that they had earned a staggering $920 million dollars in revenue.

According to the report (translated by @sinonobu) the PC platform saw the lion’s share of the gold, pulling in around $790 million dollars. Mobile ports raked in a cool $65 million, with the rest of the money attributed to consoles and other sources. Of note, 53% of all PUBG Corp’s income came courtesy of the Asia market.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has grown to be quite the behemoth since its humble origins as a DayZ mod. Today, PUBG is one of the most globally-recognised battle royale titles. Original developer Brendan Greene recently announced that he was finally moving on from the day-to-day development of the project to work on new ideas.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One and iOS and Android devices.
