Well, well, well. Lets start with the good news: It has been confirmed that PS3s WILL play PS2 games. I know that’s no big whoop, but Sony fans should take what they can get nowadays – here’s the bad: The PS3 GPU is STILL being worked on, and the truly ugly: according to the Inquirer, the PS3 CPU is looking like shit. Define shit? Triangle per second render rates barely above 50% of the 360’s among other depressing confusing numbers. Is the Inquirer bogus? Should Sony hopes start hurting? Feel free to debunk and debate.
